Not of that bridge, They are replacing all the bridges around the city. That giant ditch is the Floodway that goes around the city. And every railway and road bridge is being rebuilt. I think there are 2 or 3 more just north of this one that haven't been started yet. Ill see if i can get some pics.

wow thats quite a project the city is undertaking rebuilding all the bridges. they must be too old and a safety hazard. That would be great if you could get some more pics of the bridges being re-built

So the train is on the new bridge?
Which line is that? I now have enough Winnipeg maps to find it.

The whole city of Winnipeg seeks to be under reconstruction. (Someone once said of Toronto, "It'll be a nice city if they ever finish it.")

Congrats TW!!!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I know how long you've been trying, and I can't understand why they rejected some of the photo's you submitted. No argument with this photo though - it's amazing!! Crisp, colourful and dramatic.

And yes, that scene begs to be modelled. :D

That bridge is only a temporary one. See the supports in front of it. That is where the new bridge will be. This one was put in place to divert the train track around the new bridge site so it won't interfere with rail traffic during construction. They will replace those old peirs and the new bridge will be where the old one stood. They just went through the same ordeal a few miles down on the TransCanada. Once the new bridge is up and rail traffic back on the new bridge this one will be dismantled.Ron
