End to end and small switching yards

Hi Folks,
Not every one has the room for a big layout, so I thought if there were a few neat pictures of Switching yards or some other train scene it would help folk to get involved in this great hobby
So I will post a couple of shots from different train shows.
I hope there is something there to encourage you as they have helped me

From the Toronto Show a nice end to end, you get a turntable a docking area and factories,

And this is the other end , nice and compact, and a lot of play time.

Hi Shamus, it always amaze`s me just how much one can put in a simple shelve type model, every 6 " is a photo shot

Great photos Chris. These switching ideas could also be added to larger layouts too. All layouts need some focus areas to keep the interest up there.

I may have posted this elsewhere on the Guage, but I'll throw it out again. The new 2003 Model Railroader Track Planning Annual features a lot of small bookshelf switching layouts. Tony Koester challenged a number of layout designers to design a layout that could be folded up to store on top of a 3' bookcase.
