I've always treated the Walthers catalog as my year-round "Christmas Wish Book"... I buy a copy every couple of years, since things do change from time to time, but I've still got copies back into the eighties... all dog-eared from steady thumbing.
I'm just wondering if people are foregoing the pleasures of browsing the catalog for the instant-gratification of online searches?
For newbies, I'd say pick up a catalog and just browse... you'll never see such a variety of stuff at your hobbyshop... and the photos are pretty inspiring too.
I think if we want to help newbs out, maybe one of the best things we can do is give them our old Walthers catalogs... well... OK... lend them our catalogs... I know I'll want mine back.
