When steam used to run on the Harlem div of the NYC, My grandmother would sweep the soot off the front porch, each time a train passed. When the first of the diesels ran, she went out and found the porch blackened, grabbed the broom, and.......smmmmeeear! She started cussin' up a storm, and saw me standing there. She imediately stopped cussin'....in english.....and continued in Swedish. I didn't know the words, but I knew they weren't the kind I should repeat in polite society. ops: ops:
Hope there wasn't a sweet old Swedish grandmother living in that house.
