Design & Build Alice Royal Suit from Alice Madness Returns

Okey dokey , here come some exciting news.

I always wanting to build Alice Liddell as a model & now i got my wish come true a Alice Queen dress.:mrgreen:

All rights to EA Games, Alice Madness Returns and Spicy Horse.

i am going to be releasing a line version & a line-less version in pdo , pdf files.

She is going to be finishing off at 70cm tall, in mm: 700mm tall , in Inch: 27.6 inches tall

I started designing the leg first then i work my way up to the skirt , body , arms & head at the tail end of the build there is a exciting thing going to be posted but i won't get into details right now. if you like you can guess what it is that going to be posted later on ?

here is the finish progress of the legs.

Now it is time for the building stage begins.

Here is the first page that i printed to start with.

I label each parts by L1 to L42 & R1 to R42 so that parts don't get confusing in building them together.:thumb:

I'm starting on the left foot first, i cut out L foot base first to start with before i moved on with part L1 to L3. Next I only cut out L1 to L3 to start with in progress then i glue L1 to L3 together before i start glue it to the foot base like so.

L1 to L3 parts been glue together.

Now i glued L1,L2,L3 to the foot base, the foot base is label on the tabs with L1 , L4 , L5 , L6 , L7 , L8 , L9 , L10 of each of those labels are the foot parts to complete it's forum.

L1 , L2 , L3 been glued to the foot base like so.

Sorry for the blur pics it's my bad tin-can camera:roll1: it so old i'm to lazy for updating it to a better one, i try to make it as clear as possible to see. It's a Kodak CX7300 camera had it like 4 years maybe longer.sign1

Next part is L4 to be added next with L3 to complete it's shape.

Next L5 to L6 build

Part L5 been cut out for process to be glued next.

L5 been glue on next to L4, it's start to look like alice feet.:twisted:

Next part is L6.

Glue L6 next to L5 , once i have finally glue L6 it is time to add some weight to the feet to keep her standing straight.
I'm using bearings that i don't need anymore so at least it going for good use.

That's it for those parts next is L7 to L8.

Soo true , there is alot of reasons why people like to build a figure as a model. some just a big fan of alice that they really want one as a model for a display to impress others when they see it.:mrgreen:

There is a close neighbour next door to me , as which i spoke to her i do paper modeling & i show her some of the models that i have done.After she was impressed with my work, she ask if i can do a paper doll or something similar to a doll for her granddaughter. So i reply to here i'm doing a alice royal suit as a paper model this will be good for her, she is only 9 but i told her it is only for a display & it is very fragile to play with.

She was happy with it after showing pics of the model with out the vorpal blade.:thumb:

Also from the old American McGee's Alice the paper model version of alice was not as graphical as from Alice madness returns.

When I was very young, I used to help my other, a professional seamstress,cut out patterns for pants suits, wedding gowns, Men's Suits, you name it. Macy's, Reads department stores, and a couple of others would place orders, and as a family unit, we would bang out out 100 suits or Winter Jacket or so. My father died when I was very young and my Mom raised 8 of us, never going on welfare, or taking any support. Those productions runs paid for trips, utility bills, and a really nice car, that she purchased cash. In 1970, she purchased a 1968 Mercedes Benz 320 4 door couple.

You patterns could easily be adapted for making clothing like that. You could always hire some babes to do the hard work, and do the design. There is the possibility of making big money in that. In some of these little Connecticut towns, people are quite well off making custom outfits for people who not even want to be seen shopping for something someone else is wearing! Coplay is really big. I am often amazed at the beautiful women "playing". You may have a little goldmine there. It's one thing to be able to make them, but designing is a whole 'nother thing.

Wish i can do that but my skills with materials is not that good , i use to work in one printing place that print out flags , curtains , bed sheets & special orders that came in but that's about it.

I have came across some websites that is selling these clothings online but they are pricey to buy.

I forget to post in previous post that i'm using 180g Matte photo paper for the leg.

L9 part.

L9 is glued to L8 like so & complete.

Next is L10 part.

L10 is glued to the foot base , where the tabs been label for L10 to be glued.

I'll tell you a big secret to material. Pay attention to the brain. It will stretch one way, and not the other. That is how clothes are made to follow a persons body. Being a 14 year old boy and stretching these dressing all over these 19 and 20 year old girls took MUCH concentration. Much, so much, I still have the images in my head, 34 years later. For some reason, they would change in front of me like I didn't exist. I played the part well too. I acted like I didn't exist really well.. Now, married all these many years later, it's almost the same thing all over again! Well, not quite. My wife notices me, as far as the rest of all women go, I am dead to them, and that works out well.

Hmmm interesting , all though sometimes my brain tends to wonder all over the place. Even when i watching a movie or down at the shops , it's like it open the door & flu out of my head.well that's my brain sometimes.sign1

When you think of some dresses , skirts or mens clothing it's just gone a bit over board. well that's what i think.

I decided to start finishing off the right leg & here is the progress.
All it just needs now is the right buckles to set it off.
