Dec 21st Weekly Photo Fun

Thanks Roger, yes it is a Central Valley kit. CNnutbar, nice 0-6-0! My Berk is at least 20 years old and while its detail is very nice, it has trouble negotiating even my 30" radius curves. Seems the drivers have very little side to side play, and no way to improve it. I'm sure the one you mention will beat it all to hell, and cost a lot more! This is just one more, saves a bit larger to see what happens.

work has had me busy as...heck:119: , so i don't post much these days:frowns: , HOWEVER, i ALWAYS post at least ONE picture in EVERY WEEKS Photo Fun Thread:thumb: , this thread is my favorite on the whole forum, and i NEVER miss it:winki::mrgreen: .

Train wise, i have been weathering with my airbrush lately, my good friend Wayne has given TONS of tutorials/advice on how to weather with an airbrush, so i decided to go that route on weathering for awhile:winki: .

Showing off a new custom paint job. This unit is not for me, surprisingly. I was selling the RPP shell/chassis to a guy, and he requested it to be painted.

Sorry about the copyright across the image, I've noticed a few copyright violators on eBay recently, so I'm adding that to help thwart the theft of my images.

Christmas came a day early

Had to post these two latest additions to the Ballantyne sub...a new AC4400 in BNSF orange glow, a classic GP38 in tuxedo black Southern, and a B23-7 NS setting up a string for the larger mainline power to grab. (Would someone please make a GP30 high hood in Southern colors for next Christmas...pleeeeeeze!)

Santa made an early stop and left me that scanner that I had asked for. :thumb: Here's my first effort, from a transparency, an SW900 owned by my former employer. The cut-down roof was to provide overhead clearance in some of the older mills, where the overhead cranes had low-slung cabs.

This isn't a train photo, and it wasn't taken by me, either, but I thought that some folks here might get a laugh out of it. The photo was taken at the Studebaker plant in Hamilton, Ontario. I'm the guy in the natty blazer, sitting at the end of the assembly line, and not too comfortably either, as that full-size Studie behind me is moving. :eek: The guy in the sharp suit is my Dad, who built the car in which I'm sitting. I'm not sure, but I think that the photo dates from 1950.

Wayne, I hope that little Studebaker is still around - your Dad did a great job building that. I feel better now about my poor modeling skills - it is obviously hereditary!
