Is there any advantage to operating switch machines by dcc? In our modular club we went with cordless dcc for our locomotives, but any switch machines are still operated by whatever system the module owner chooses. Most switches are operated by caboose industries ground throws, or we use Pecos with the spring and throw the switches with a finger. Generally switch machines are used only for switches that are difficult to reach with easily damaged scenery around them.
