My friend @ASC Mclaren decided to throw me a challenge. To build Crichton in 1:50 scale. So, I decided to pick up the gauntlet and accept the challenge. With the help of my other friend (and the original designer of the template) @Revell-Fan (be resizing the template to 1:50 scale), I built Crichton.

Here is the template. I printed it in 0.22 mm cardstock.
With this template, you have the option to build it "gray" or you can print it on metallic cardstock.

Here is the main part of the body.

The body and base are attached.

I attached the two arch pieces that connect to both the base and the body. I also attached the two pieces that go under the arms.

Here is the head.

There is an extra face plate so that the screen looks recessed.

There are extra pieces for the "ears".

Here is the neck. You have the option to use either one of two singular tubes (one with neck extended and one with neck contracted) or a series of cones to make the neck look more realistic. As you see, I chose to use the cones. I used one cone as a base, and set the rest on top (and the underneath one is inset).

Both the head and neck are attached to the body.

Here are the arms. I decided to have one bent and one straight.

You have the option to make either a solid shoulder piece or have two pieces for the shoulder to make it look like it is in motion.
As you see, I chose the two piece shoulder.

The shoulder is attached.

The arm is now attached.

The other shoulder and arm are attached. Crichton is now finished.
