Corn fields in n-scale

Hi very one. I am setting up a farm on my layout, and thinking of a corn field.
Has anyone made a corn field? or any information how to make one.

hey petervan, never did it but be sure to check out walthers 2008 n and z catalog pages 291 and 293...2 excellent photos of corn fields

A labor intensive, but quite realistic method for HO or N was a 2 page item in the RMC for October '98. David Leider used cuttings from a fine "kitchen broom" to make the stalks, and standard scenery tech. for the field. Bob C.

This is an idea I picked up at an NMRA national connvention meant for HO but it might work.

Take green twist ties, twist two or three together, snip at the paper(?) add corn (this guy didn't add corn but you could probobly use yellow ground foam) "plant" it, repeat until you have filled your field.

Sept. 2006 Model Railroader Magizeen includes an article on building corn fields with Busch's Cornfield Kit (HO). Maybe that could be modified.
