converting 30 yr old loco's to DCC

Hi,

I'm looking for info on converting Aurora, Minitrix, Atlas and Arnold Locomotives to DCC. These loco's are 30+ years old.
Help.

Most of those would be tricky at best if not niegh impossible. Most are built with the frame grounded to the motor in some way as to make it very difficult to achieve isolation. The motor must be isolated completely from the frame for DCC to work. My Rivarossi 0-8-0 and my MiniTrix 0-6-0 cannot be done and so are forever doomed to cab control...sigh:thumb:
