CSX - I forgot, I asked a buddy about that XNA language and he's a professional programmer/database guy, but he hasn't ever used any of the game languages like that or OpenGl etc. Aside from the actual language, of course, you need to have development tools for graphics and sound etc. That's the reason I backed away from this stuff. I can come up with good ideas for a game and even some AI modules, but my attempts to translate that into a visual and sonic experience were failures. I don't know why, because I'm a fair artist with charcoal or acrylic paints!
From what I understand XNA and C# can be downloaded for free for pc however for XBOX you have to join a developers club for a fee

At one time I concidered signing up at Full sail online colledge they provide you with a nice Mac computer when you enroll in the multi-media and computer graphics programs but they were pretty expensive, Last time I went through the Columbus campus of Devry I saw a whole class/lab room with students playing and developing games

One of the latest books I checked out from the library is a network(hobbiest level) project book and it was talking about how to hook tivo up to your network
