Great day in the morning! It's 64 degrees here.
I snuck out a back door to go down to Powell's - found a copy of The Last Days of the Steam Railway - edited by Alan Postlethwaite - and full of photos of British steamers for just $6.50.

I don't know of any LHS in Orlando, but there is a really cool model rr museum with an awesome 5000sf layout. It's on the same Trolley line as the Convention Center.....costs $8 to get in.....Hey Dennis, I'll be there the very end of the month, first week in Feb. I was hoping someone would know where to go. I'm a little leary of just picking stores from the internet/phonebook as I understand there are some bad areas around there you don't want to visit. I was hoping the family could come visit over the weekend, but doesn't look like it now. I might ask when I'm at the hotel and see if they have anyplace the recommend. I suspect this will end up being like all my trips to Washington - get off work, go out to eat with folks from work, then back to hotel and just watch tv or read. I'm still thinking about getting a cheapo laptop that would be good enough for internet or watching dvds. We'll see.
Buckeye, thanks, we are both heading to Orlando the end of this month. We were hoping to get a good trainstore to visit. Please let us know what you find out.I will be in Orlando this Friday, now what do you guys want to know?![]()
