John - Norton is one of the many anti-virus softwares out there. If you have any of them, it should be on and running auto whenever you computer is on.

Remember that the internet at some point in time is running thru commutation lines (like phone) so stroms in some part of the country can cause slowdowns because of rerouting.

To night is OTTS meeting and Sunday is Toy - Diecast show for NE Ohio.

Downtown Willoughby is about 4 blocks long and 3 block wide. Not really that big. It does have a rich history of RR. It was the headquarters for the CP & E RR. (Cleveland, Painesville and Eastern). This was an electirc interurban trolley line. The old power station, railcar repair shop and train station are still standing.


Don't forget we have been pertty much become part of the Greater Cleveland Area. Only a suburb now, but still has alot of the small town feeling. :thumb:

Tom, Did you know that there used to be an Interurban line that ran from Cleveland, thru Chippewa Lake ( where I used to live ), and down here to Marietta. There was a station close to where I live now. I sure wish it was still in operation.

Chuck - back from 1900 to 1925 norhtern Ohio had a great interurban network. Not only could you go south you could have gone from Detroit to Buffalo and from Cleveland to Youngstown or over to Sharon Pa. It's a shame that is gone with todays gas prices.

Suday is a Toy - Diecast Show at Lakeland Comm Collage, Mentor Ohio

OTTS meeting last night was great. Phill has a wide collection of trains from Clock work to postwar.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE ! Yes, I remember asking my Dad what those old tracks were for when I was little, growing up in Ashtabula, Ohio in the 1950s. He said they were from the trolley cars. He was born in 1902, & his Dad had a saloon in the harbor ! Well gas here is 2.49 a gal, & went to Erie Pa. yesterday after work grocery shopping, & filled up at 2.29 a gallon. Good for going to the toy show tomorrow with Tom ! I wonder if there will be any train stuff there, though I sure enjoy the diecast cars & trucks! Well, all have a nice day ! John

Oh Spankybird, that sure is a lovely outfit you bought your wife.

Reminds me of the Christmas that I bought my wife a Router.

She kept it in the kitchen cabinet and made me ask for it.:oops:

I was just kidding you. I'm glad that my wife likes the trains too. She was a
big help to me, building the benchwork. Now, she is going to paint the scenery for me. WE are lucky.

Glad your wife enjoys something in the same scale as you, mine has her mind set on 1/12th scale stuff! (Now what kind of intelligence is that?)

Even the G scale stuff I have doesn't go with her things!

Yes, I like borrowing some of my wifes ceramic houses, then see how long it takes her to find them ! :D Hi Kettlestacks :wave: , good to see you here ! How big is 1/12 th. scale ?
