Beginner in the title refers to me of course. Paper model number three for me.
The viper is a very pleasent beautiful design. Very clear. Sharp. The mark 1 also a little more square shaped or "clunky", which I like. The mark 2 is more rounded, but also pretty.
To be honest, I did not watch much of the old bsg. It was already old when I was young and was aired sporadic in the tv.

But the viper (mk2) is also the spacecraft which brought me to this website. It was of course uhu02s viper. I saw it somewhere o the web, I thought this looks crazy I want to built it. Some old posts in old forums mentioned zealot and now I am here and found so much more ... bunch of crazy folk making wizardry with paper:bowdown:

Here my first viper. Starting simple. Long way to go to that uhu viper I think^^

Forgot to take more fotos of the beginning. Used 120g paper (same on the serenity). Little bit thin but it worked for the viper on that scale and with many round parts.

Then the guns, the first really small pieces for me. I rolled and glued them on a thinned out toothpick

I messed up during cutting of a wing. Grabbed the backup print only to realize tht I printed the second batch with slightly bigger scaleXD
But I wanted to go on and not build the hull again. The wings fit but the guns are too close to the hull, barely fitting in between there

You did a great job on this project! Everything looks clear, clean and crisp. This is one of many models that I will recommend to those who are first starting out.

Back in March of this year I repainted and revised this template to look more like the original Viper. I did add a few more parts. Here is the thread:
I also uploaded it to the resource section.

Thanks and yes, I also saw your thread. Together with the original instructions, your posts helped me building it! I just forgot to mention that, sorry.
And I really like your version to. Probably going to build it someday

I am glad that you like it! I am looking forward to seeing how your build of it turns out. When you do build it, if you have any questions, about the template or how anything goes together, please feel free to ask. I will answer any questions that you have about it.

Nice Viper. It's good to start with simple models that yield great results. This model looks great because you took your time and built it straight. In the end, it's not as simple as it feels to you and the proof is the effort you put into getting everything symmetric, and squared up. It looks like a Viper. It is a Viper. :)
