This component sits directly between the engine exhausts.

Here are the parts for this component.

When assembling the main part of the component, start with the back piece and the edge piece. Start attaching the edge piece in the top center and work your way around the edge by attaching each tab separately on alternate sides.

Attach the front plate and the rest of the parts for the component. I raised the printed texture to show depth and detail.

Here is another update. This component is both tedious and fiddly to assemble.

Here are the parts for these components.

Like I had mentioned in the previous updated post, when assembling the main part of the component, start with the back piece and the edge piece. Start attaching the edge piece in the top center and work your way around the edge by attaching each tab separately on alternate sides.

The other side is attached.

The component is now greebled out.

20220518_082615.jpg

The components are attaching in place.
*NOTE* There is a small area to attach these components to, so you might want to use a stronger adhesive (I used super glue) to make certain that they will not fall off it bumped.

That's a damn nice ship! It looks almost like the studio model. All that it needs is an internal skeleton and an interior, maybe with lights. And the missing missiles at the bottom should be added. Excellent job, bro! :)

Thank you very much! I have to agree with you. It does indeed need a good interior and formers (lighting would also be a great touch as well). However, that is all for a much later project to tackle.

I think it's smart to stay away from all Cyanoacrylayes (CA) all cyanide based. Those glues build up in your system and you cannot get them out. There are many non-toxic glies will will bind paper together. You can use ZIP DRY to bind steel rods to paper. It's lignen free (means it won't yellow0 and it'x is non toxic. It forms a very strong mechanical matrix and is waterproof... Doesn't have much of a smell either. I like to use it to glue plastic windows to cardboard car, or ship models.

This shuttle is coming out awesome. An interior, I've never even seen an interior picture of one of these. That would be interesting. ;)
