Lemax Village stuff.
The train is going back to the store tomorrow though.
It ran for about an hour and died.
Then again, what should I expect for $40?

Good to see y'all again.

Yeah..... I'm really dissapointed with it.
It's a cute train but runs like crap.
It would barely make it around the tracks for a bit and then it finally died altogether.

I'd like to find an inexpensive passenger HO set to put around it and forget the Lemax train altogether.

well that sucks ,you could probably score some off of E-bay pretty easily.i think i know of some more cars that'll fit your needs.--josh

Lemme know if you come across something.
I've been scoping eBay all day.

I'd love to get this set because I've been wanting a N&W J like this for a long time. At $230 for the set, it's a bit out of my price range right now though. :(

BACHMANN SPECTRUM HO CAVALIER PASSENGER TRAIN SET, N&W - (eBay item 140181072044 end time Nov-25-07 19:17:46 PST)

i haven't seen anything yet,but the cavalier was at hobby lobby last time i was there, and most of the stores carry the same things.you could check Walther's,i just browsed it but with 1400 results i couldn't make a in depth search .ill keep looking when i can and show you anything i come across :thumb:.--josh

EUREKA,i think i found the car for your needs,it handles EXTREMELY tight curves and it has a prototype for its weird appearance.its only 21ft long so it should work well.--josh

Well, HO is out.
I just laid some of my EZ track down and the curve is too wide for the table.

Dang.

Sorry to put you through all that, Josh. :(

Also, what scale is Lamex?
I think they have their own made up scale. It's not quite HO but bigger than N.

Hey cannon ball how you been?

I've been getting buy. :)
Blood pressure is doing good.
Still not doing too hot on the diet though. :(

Just got a new Dell computer.
My last one blew up......... Quite literally blew up.
I started it up one morning and it went POP and the magic white smoke came pouring out the back.

So now I have a Dell XPS 420.
Next step up would have been a gamer's computer.

Might want to check the Athearn site. Athearn took over Roundhouse a couple of years ago. Athearn still sells the Roundhouse "Shorties', but I think they call them "Antiques", or "Vintage" or something like that.

Also, I use the Bachmann EZ-Track on my Xmas layout. I use the 22" radius, and it just barely fits on a three foot wide table.

Here's a pic of the re-done Xmas layout. All the buildings in the back are the ones that replaced the damaged ones from the car hitting the house.

What ever happened to your N gauge layout? Did you sell all of your O stuff including that neat layout and the Marx?

I'm still SLOWLY working on the N scale layout.
Well, that's not entirely true. It's about half done and I've been running trains on it now and then. sign1 I haven't done any actual work on it for several months now.

I still have all the stuff from the O gauge layout.
The track is boxed up and the table is stored out in the garage.
I still have both my original Lionel set and the old Marx 666.
I also have a tin lithiograph battery powered Marx set in storage.

I'm glad to hear that because that was a great layout. It is nice to see you back around.:thumb:

I try to pop in when I can.
I've been getting back into music again so I've been spending more time on the musicians' forums.

I've found a great drummer.
Now all we need is a good guitarist and singer.
:D

That looks like a great layout!

I think my table is only about 26"
The Lemax train just fit perfectly on it.

Like an idiot, I went back to the store last night and bought another one.
It doesn't run either. I finally said to heck with it and it's a static display now.

Next year I'll get a wider table and go with an HO train that actually works.
