Hey all,
Happy New Year!
Made a quick TARDIS model for my daughter who is a bit of a Dr Who fan.
It's from here: https://www.ironcowprod.com/the-tardis/
Fairly straight forward design to assemble. I modified the roof a bit cutting off the tabs and created my own lamp with working bulb.
Probably somewhere around the 8hr mark all told to build in between family activities. I'm not the quickest.
Not many bits. Just printed out and glued to pizza box card for rigidity.
Model lends itself well for modifications and nice recessed space in the base for an on/off switch.
Just left it looking beaten up and scruffy.
The lamp is made from rolled up tracing paper.
If I were to make it again, I would perhaps spend more time on it, layer up strips on the doors for depth, cut out the windows and replace with tracing paper and illuminate the inside as well as the police box signs.
Anyway a good bit of fun.
I'd love to see others have a go at this and post up their efforts.
