Had to mention this since I know there's more than a few from Canada that read/post here...
Yesterday, I flew into Smithers, BC and wow what a beautiful place. The mountains were great to see (still snow capped) and the rivers looked cold and filled with steelhead. I heard the whistle from a CP train rumbling through town and thought how lucky those guys are to be running the rails along side those rugged and scenic mountains. Now I understand how the guys that post pictures on some of the rail/train pic websites get such great shots - with scenery like that as a background, any train picture improves.
