Campbell Idaho mine dimensions

Hi folks,
I plan to use the Campbell Idaho mine on my layout.I would like to be able to mock this up so I can work on the scenery before I purchase the kit. I have the dimensions of the building what I need is the distance from the building to the first track centerline and the centerline distance from track to track. Can anyone help?

Hi Herman and Welcome Aboard...I don't think that the plans on that structure would give the distances that you are looking for.
The foot print is 3x3 7/8 inches in HO or 2x7 1/8 inches in N.

Distances between the building and track and track to track should conform generally to NMRA standards www.nmra.org but you can probably "fudge" them a bit to get the visual effect that you want. The use of the approriate NMRA gauge will give you the clearences both for building to track and track to track.
