Well..

This is my new project.

The star wars t-47 snowspeeder.

i found him at this place:

i'm planning to insert 2 pilots..
i found these pilots and they look nice...
i hope they look that great in real life.

today i printed the cockpit part (inside and outside)
i want to make that first...to see if i can do it..
then to scale the figures to the scale of the speeder.

I am watching this, too.
I am curious how the pilots will work out, because there is no space for legs in the snowspeeder. You will see when you get there. Even in the original prop the pilots had their legs sticking out :)
Enlarged to A1... Wow... That puts the scale roughly somewhere to 1:7 - what a beast this will be...
 
They were genetically bred for the craft. They have a very short lifespan, as they had no "private parts", once they came off the tree, they had around 8 hrs. :eek: :p

Maybe the pilots knelt for the whole time!! :)

I have also the plastic version...but my painting skills are not that good..so it says in his box. :-)

Also i have the master replicas snowspeeder...one of my star wars treasures.
 
The cutting has begun

ah...question....does anyone have a picture of the belly of the snowspeeder?
i've looked all over and didn't find it.

the top looks great, but is the underside also constructed?

Ok..
i'm at the folding part.
1 chair and midsection are folded and is glued..
I'm folding the cockpit-hull but it's hard.

You may have to consider getting a sheet metal brake for all these bends!! :)
 
It looks like you are off to a really good start.
If your last two models are any indication of what to expect, then this will be a very interesting thread to follow (and I will follow this thread very closely indeed).
 
:-)...
untill now every thing goes as planned ..
today glued the inner cockpit and i'm starting to detail the cockpit..
it's a try when it's not working i will go back and do the stock cockpit :-)

A nice amount of detail (and work) is gonna go into that cockpit.:eek:
I'm really looking forward to it being 'switched on' :cool:
 
With the x wing i did this wrong..
to cut first the windows and then fold..

now i fold first and then the windows...
i glued the canopy and cut the back-part.

now i have to color the inside black...
