Uhu02, having seen some of your models and visiting your blog (ver 1) to follow the build process of your work, I wanted to convey how much I've enjoyed following your designs. You've a talent that elevates the craft to an art form.

Whether you choose to publicly release any more of your models is beside the point; your work is amazing!

Thank you for showing us your talent.

Pardon my saying, but in defense of all the "artists" I know here I always though it WAS an art form

I am really glad to see you back in these parts UHU! You do some awesome work!
Chris

This mode is great, I like it very much.
I try to dowload, but it didn't workingwall1wall1. Could someone send me the file? Please
Thanks a lot.

Where's it gone?

 I managed to download "Black Pearl" when it was first posted, then when I started looking at it properly I realised I'd really need to look at a build thread or other details. When I tried going back to the link shown in the first post, I got something that doesn't seem to have any links to anything remotely to do with this or any other paper model. Can anyone find out the address of the build details? The model looks superb, but it's so complicated, I wouldn't know where to start. I'm assuming that parts 24 to 31 are the main "planks" of the hull, but it's not obvious where they fit.
I'm one of those modellers who doesn't commit to printing out anything until I've checked out the build carefully and know I can do it, so this is frustrating.wall1

Rigging

Additional : are the "rigging" drawings supposed to be templates for string "ropes"? I'd certainly prefer to use string for this.

Very confused. Still like to see a build.

Rigging is surprisingly much easier than it seems as first. The trick is to make a jig.

glue down the paper template of the rigging and put some cardboard risers at each end.
make notches in the risers, and string your thread through the risers. then coat the thread with several layers of watered down white glue allowing drying time between.

Here I detailed it on this model:

look at the first 3 pictures, they are clickable for enlargements.

Well guys, it looks like UHU2 has taken his blog down. And I don't blame him for taking the site down. After all he asked for the blog not to be linked and for his models not to be passed around the forums and file sharing sites. He said that the blog was to remain private, so if the models are not available anymore, TUFF.

Everyone should have respected his wishes.

On the other hand I hope he still makes/designs models, as the ones he has done so far are amazing.

Bummer! I actually received permission to post a link to his Blog onto my site.

Actually, according to the rough translation, the download has been temporarily disabled due to server bandwidth.

Instructions?
I began to build it but this gonna be hard without instructions...

UHU - We can host any or all of your models right here for free. Just give the word and I will put them in the downloads area - you can link to them from your blog directly as well. The only thing I ask is that you provide me with whatever text you want included on the downloads page.
Chris

BUMPED for priority reasons - do not bump in old threads.
