Benchwork Ideas?!

Happy New Year Everyone:

Does anyone have a good bench work ideas? I am open to suggestions.

Here's my idea. The frame work will be all wood. The top part, I would use 4" pink foam. The reason of the foam is: I make the illusion of hills, mountains, and reveins. Supporting the foam is wood cross beams and 1/4" paneling. Does this sound good? I am looking for other ideas too! :thumb:

While I was building my benchwork I referred to this site http://rail.felgall.com/lg.htm several times when I got stuck. L-Girder design seemed like the best way to go after seeing it used at a local railroad club.

Sounds good to me Andy, I didn't know they made 4" foam board( they don't sell 2" down here in Georgia) 4" should be really rigid, shoulden't need alot of support from the wood below.

Hmmm....maybe I can get some help from you! Jessica and I will be moving to the Smoky Mountains in March. House wont be built til next year. Maybe you could help and visit the Smokies at the sametime!
