So ive been off dealing with the usual health related stuff, but i managed to make a start on a brilliant kit - the Rocinante from the series The Expanse, designed by Michael Grosberg and made available thanks to the help of you guys here .
The kit goes together really well, very detailed and im sure with plenty of scope for detailing up/greeblification if you so desired. Mr Grosberg has done amazing work with this kit, and the instructions are clear, concise and detailed, making the build a smooth enough process. Ive got the detailing kit for the PDC pods along the hull (the gun ports) and decided to place some of those on the kit for a bit more flair. This one will be mounted for wall display as per my other builds and i must say i look forward to the next Expanse build down the line.
Heres some WIP pics of the build so far, ive done more since and ill get them uploaded as soon as i can - for now, enjoy.

thanks, still alot of tidying up to do alongside the pdc's etc but mostly done. Great kit.

they are at that - the instructions are very well laid out, and the detail in the kits is top notch; and considering the size of the model(s) theyre well worth having a crack at

And shes done......main build finished. If you havent tried this one yet, i highly recommend it - great kit, great instructions, great options, and a big model too. I get the feeling there will be more Expanse builds in the future lol. Last thing to do is mount it to its frame and place it with the others on the wall. Enjoy Earthers!

the kit comes with 2 versions - this one, and the 'MCRN Tachi' - the original gunship in black n orange. I very seriously thought about doing the gas hauler version, and having done this one, - if there were the parts - i think i'd be very tempted to have a go lol. Im considering which one of the Expanse kits to do next (thanks to everyones help here) and whether ive got room if theyre bigger than this one lol. There are so many cool designs of ship in this series, and im sure many more that people would love to see. Once its mounted up ill grab some final piccies of it all finished up.
