Battlestar Galactica "TOP GUN" stein

This is beyond amazing! I designed the template using several images of the QMX replica. However, I deliberately deviated from the replica in certain respects in order to create an own interpretation of the stein, not an exact replica. The comparison shots clearly show these deviations. One of the things I changed was the way the skull looked like. I wanted it to "shine" and gave it more highlights, glowing eyes and a somewhat more comic strip look. Then there was the Galactica font. The original used small letters which have those serif-like appendages. I'm not really fond of them (pun intended 
) so I used capital letters only. The handle lever was complete guesswork since I had no clear view at it because of the reflections. The inside of the lid was textured because it looked a bit empty without it. As a final touch-up I centered all elements on the main body.

Yes, I like both steins. However, I do prefer the details of the paper/cardstock version.
