Fasten your seatbelts for the following news:

I've just seen that Koch Media has released the complete classic BSG series (incl. "Galactica: 1980") -

on BLURAY!!!

The set is currently available in Germany only (but it features the original English soundtrack in 5.1 surround sound).

I haven't posted a link to a commercial site in order to prevent this thread from being regarded as spam.

I just want to inform you about this and am wondering how the picture of the BD differs from the picture of the DVD. Has anyone seen some comparison shots yet?

Some pics have appeared on the web. Apparently the show was indeed scanned again for the blu-ray release in a (much) higher resolution. So the new set is not a blown-up version of the DVD set (which I was afraid of when I first heard the news). Too bad I don't have a BR player yet, I would definitely get this one.
