Bandai 1/12th scale Luke Skywalker as Stormtrooper

Next up on the table, the new to the USofA Bandai 1/12th Luke Skywalker Stormtrooper version.


The instructions are Bandai Fabulous...



and the parts sprues are fantastic...


Bandai has thier new "TriAxial Jet Finish", They use it to "print" the face on the part...


Now to start assembly...

10 pieces make up Luke's head, 4 in the neck, the face, a core block, and 4 pieces for the hair...


looks good as it is, but I think I'm gonna make his hair "pop" by shading and highlights.

first round of shades and high lights on the hair...

second and final round of high lights...

upper and middle torso done from the front...

and back...

and as it sits now...

next, the legs and arms go on...

Coming out great. The face is kind of "greasy" looking, maybe a layer of a semi flat clear to make it more realistic?

Well, it's pretty hot and greasy in a trash compactor...

I will be flat coating the face, and glossing the eyes, to give them that "wet" look.

The pose he's in is as close to a screen accurate pose showing off the blaster, the helmet, and his face, as I could come up with... apparently on screen he left the helmet in Leia's cell...
