:eek:I know I'm tugging on Superman's cape here but_____________ ballast? Most logging lines I know of laid the track right in the dirt. Most of em' used code 60 or lighter rail and 1 tie every 5 ft or so whether it needed it or not. That is not to take anything away from your extremely high talents, but you have to realize we expect more from you because of those talents. :D :D :D :D Along those same lines you will nedd a derailment every 100 yards or so and at least 3 or 4 HO loggers will have to die every week so don't forget having a cemetery close by.:p

Tyson,
By the time I have finished with the scenery, it should look like mud.
Been at it most of the day, (Thats the beauty of being retired)
Top left photo --- Twin trestle bridges on a Wye turn
Top right the new plastered area, (not got any greenery yet) only trees
for effect.
Middle two & bottom shows different angles of the same area where the 8.5%
grade is.

Not to worry I had faith in you Shamus!:D BTW don't forget the saloon and the house for the ladies of the evening, no self respecting logger is going out in the middle of nowhere to work if he doesn't have some place to spend his money! :p And I guess you will need a jail and a sheriff to keep the peace with all that going on! And of course there HAS to be a still somewhere close by !!! :D :D :p :D :D Those latest pictures are fantastic!!!!!!!

As always...I'm speechless!
Tell me you saved those trees from the last layout!
If you tell me that you've made all those trees in the last couple of days, I'm gonna throw in the towel right now!! ;)

Hi gang,
Charlie, those trees were from the last layout, I'm not that quick.:D
The pier and scratchbuilt seafoods is now coming along.

Whew!...That's a relief! :D
The pier scene looks fantastic!!
Looks like that great looking pile driver is gonna have to wait till the tide comes in! :D

Shamus,
First, thanks for your comments on the modules. Looking at your pics, I don't have to say anything about trees. You know!
Love the use of trestles on the wye, and the backdrop, and pile driver are going to make that scene. While I haven't done a lumber road, I am hooked by the shay, what a piece of work!
Tall timber and sidewinders !! Lookin' good !!
