Auriga docking platform 1/144 (Alien Resurrection)

After I've been thinking about a way to mount Betty on the wall instead of the floor/bottom, I decided to build the docking platform of Auriga. A kind of mini diorama.
This is what I'm talking about:

This will be my first paper scratch build - so please be not too hard on me. However, criticism and suggestions are always welcome.

@Vger1981 thx fpr the references. I got a lot of others also…

First test on the main structure.
The top trench will be 4-5 mm in depth. The ones on the side only paper thickness - or not.

First lesson for me: 80g paper is definitely too weak for that size - even for test purposes.
So I 'll have to look for cheap heavier paper…
