Early last week Mr.Takeuchi, a designer in Japan sent his pdo. files of the AIF-9V Ghost and VF-25 Durandal from Macross Frontier that he just recently finished. Being a super big fan of Macross series, it is Christmas in July for me! So, I clear every projects off my desk and immediately jump on his models. The models was design to print on 8.5"x11" for 1/72 scale, but I like large scaled so I "fit to print" on 11"x17". The Ghost only came in two pages with low parts count, so was really easy to built. I want to go jump on the VF-29 too, but I will be going home at the end of the week, think I will just wait till I get back home before I start. Meantime, few pic of my sloppy AIF-9V Ghost built job for your pastime viewing.

Allen, I would not say that this build was sloppy (by any stretch of the imagination).
You did an OUTSTANDING job on this project.
This does not look like a paper kit at all.
I am looking forward to seeing the VF-29 when it is done.

Geez you are one hustlin' dude! Nice model!! Is he planing to make this available? :)

His models are not set up for download. He give his models to people that follow his blog, at his leisure. I am just lucky that he sent his models to, and I do not have permission to share them.

My build is very sloppy, Rhaven. Glue everywhere, misalignment, and printed with laser copier didn't help my build a whole lot. But, I will do it right next go around when I get back to my beloved inkjet printer again.

Allen, is this the same guy? I had seen his work before, it is really cool stuff! :)

He is a musician, a guitar player. I think that's his true hobby but not sure, I didn't read(translated) every posts. His blog mostly plastic models of Macross Frontiers and that's how I found him. Yes I know, there are tens of thousands of blogs like that in Japan. I drop him a note and pic of my built and still waiting for his respond. He don't reply right away(at least to me) anyway, take a few days for him to to respond. I guess because he don't post everyday? Bottom line, if I don't have his permission, I don't share anything of his. But, his blog is on line and anyone can get to it just like I did, one just need to know what to google for.

very impressive work.. i'm a huge fan of Macross Frontier (still have to build VF-25F Tornado Messiah and also Armored Messiah in plastic...^^).
Keep us informed if he give you permission to share his .pdo coz i'd love to make them ^^

Just got his answer today, no.

Hello Allen.

Since English is poor, and write in Japanese. I'm sorry.

Invitation to the paper model forum, and thank you.
There was a sharing invitation from other people so far, in my work has a copyright issue. Unspecified number of shares to the forum to participate is therefore refused.
I'm sorry. I think as, say you want to take the form of sharing with friends by e-mail so far. Please understand please.

Takeuchi.

Allen, that was really nice of you to try. These copyright issues can really come up and bite someone in the butt if they are not careful. I understand completely. Thanks for the effort, it is appreciated. Tell him he is welcome to join the forum, bad English or not, I can't speak any Japanese, so we're both in the same boat! :)
