I post again my last update that was lost somewhere in the web...
...
Here I am again with my last panel work...
This time I placed my hands on the most important panel in all the model, the real eye-catching spot (at least in my opinion): the front dashboard.
This is the reason I took some more time to draw it...

The most difficult thing was to choose the MFD screens to show. I don't know if this is a combination that could really have been observed. I also don't know if the screens were choosen freely from commander and pilot or they always were recalled in fixed combinations. I imagined an on-orbit operation phase for my shuttle and placed visualizations that could be seen in that configuration. The text screens are all from OPS201 program and shows general informations. I hope this view is not too far from reality.
The MFD images were not drawn by me. I took them from a wonderful computer simulation: Space-Shuttle-Mission 2007 from Exciting Simulations. This is definitely the best Shuttle simulator I've ever flown. I repeated every mission of the many included, many and many times from take off to the landing. I've placed almost all of the ISS modules from the first unity module to the cupola, always working with the canadian arm just as I was a real mission specialist. This is one of the reason for I feel so Shuttle-addicted and also the main motivation that pushed me to to embark in this adventure. Well, I contacted the guys at ES describing my project, telling them I was taking screenshots from their software and asking if this is OK for them. They answered immediately telling me there's no problem and that they appreciate what I'm doing (

) They also gave me some suggestions about this particular piece of my model. I didn't know that the software actually used with the "glass cockpit" instrumentation was updated at a certain point. As STS 134 was one of the very last missions to be flown the software in use was certainly the latest release. So my screens are not exactly accurate. They gave me some directions on how to update the data visualized on the MFDs and, you know how it happens... I think I'll be forced to draw all the screens from scratch...
Here is an example of the latest software displays on the real Endeavour:
I leave this part of the work for a later phase but I'll have to do it properly, anyway...
I also started to add details on the underside of the parts because I'd like to place real light spots in the places where they really was in the cabin so I have to realize a "lower side" with the lights.
This is all for now... next time.... center console... I think.
Bye.
