After about a week (my time) thinking about a way to overcome the above, a solution hit me... I cut into the model until the upper portion was able to move. Then moved the model until it was vertical then glued everything in place What happened was that when the model was re-positioned to a...

Getting ready to attach the side struts ... or so I thought Ok I had all the sections glued together, but when I rested them on the nacelles this happened This is when I had an Anakin Skywalker moment.:headbange::headbange::headbange::headbange::hammerhead::hammerhead::hammerhead: It's...

I'm never sure about cameras - sometimes it's the lighting, or the focus, or the angle. There is still a real difference in resolution between the human eye and the digital sensor. Photography is an art. Of course we haven't even gotten into the old film vs digital argument or even AI...

The gap in the picture at the top of the model is actually so small you can't see with the naked eye, but the gluing and coloring technique still holds true. It's still amazing to me when you take a picture how the picture can really get blown up to see all the issues that can't be seen...

A lot of Russian, Polish, and JP models seem to use the separated strip tab technique in the design of their models - re joining by strip. Per your recommendation a long long time ago (in a galaxy far far away) I separate the tabs from the template, then re-glue underneath the template to make...

    Thunderbird 3

Joining the upper section to the intermediate lower section Start gluing the seam and work on gluing the tabs about four at a time going around the periphery to the skirt portion until done. This is actually pretty tough and requires patience. When assembling the model at the time I didn't...

Creative use of a cardboard box for sure!:BRAVO: Would have been better if the builder used mentos in the Coke. Just saying.... Sky Seeker

They do work well. You could technically speaking throw portions of the model at a wall or drop and it will still stay together. Although the space kitty cat would still cut it to ribbons!;)
