A sense of Community means different things to folks. Some have a certain comfort level in asking folks (peers) of a like interest questions. The concept of a forum encompasses discussion of many types. The really neat thing about it, one can bypass or pass over any thread you like :thumb:
Been using RRTrains2000 inventory software. Has all the parameters I need including the importing of photos of my stock. The price is right as well, free :thumb:
I have found that some folks need to ask What makes a good power (locomotive) first? In order to indentify your power and option needs. From there you can pick between the above listed companies for your best price, options, etc...I happen to think all three companies listed are fine :thumb:
Oh man, thats what I tried to achieve before I found RRTrains 2000, but I could not figure out how to make the fields do what I wanted them to. No less than 4 guys in the local club are using Excel....
In terms of detail I think the second photo is simply outstanding. Minute detail, painstakingly precise:thumb: not to say the other two are not excellent, just that as a modeller I am drawn to number 2. Thank You!!
Yup, I use this program. It is free, comes without any data loaded into the database, so the user has to add all the data into the fields, but this is no big deal. I have about 191 entries to date. Meets my needs :thumb:
Will, I am also an n scaler and I also do as you, with the exception of first wetting the ballast with the alc/h20 solution ahead of time. I really do find that my glue travels farther and penetrates much better when I put down a pre-wetting stage first, just my 2 cents :thumb:
