    Newly acquired RS13.

Consider the RS23 http://www.niagararails.com/cgi-bin/rosters1.cgi?/rosters/osr/0500/503osr.jpg which looks more like the switcher than the RS11,18 etc. It seems that some of the model numbers were related to sequence, and some to horsepower, and some to random selection. And siderod, check...

Look at that! Dan to the rescue! :) There is a lot of awesome info on that niagara rails site, isn't there.

    Newly acquired RS13.

Unfortunately the CN lines website doesn't have any RSC13 info. The RSC14 was a different animal entirely, being converted from RS18, but I seem to recall somewhere that they got the trucks for them from RSC3s or RSC13s.....Would have to do a lot of digging through my house to find that...

    Newly acquired RS13.

I don't recall CN having RSD-whatevers, but I know they did have a bunch of RSC13's for running on lighter trackage.

Can. Superstore Pres. choice train set

There's been a whole lot of discussion about this set on the Canadian model trains yahoo group. General consensus is that while the cars, track, and controller are indeed cheap, the engine alone is worth the $100, when the same engine sells for $150US on the IHC website. But these are meant to...

Can. Superstore Pres. choice train set

Sets are $99, and are out at most stores already. You can get them at Loblaws/Canadian Superstore/Zehrs/Independent Grocer/Fortinos. Did I miss any? :) Otherwise get somebody near one of these stores to get one for you.

Here is another mockup as things progress. I decided this is going to be a 1 storey brick house with a garage addition on one side (the side with the truck, before you ask :p ) and a sunroom addition on the other side. Since these pictures were taken, I've glued up the garage and what will...

    galt904 - 2005 Challenge

As nice as multi-pane windows are, the Atlas ones are kind of clunky and thick. We'll modify them into nicer looking double hung windows. Likewise, some of the double hung windows for the upper portion will be modified into bay windows for what will become a sunroom addition to the house. Oh...

    galt904 - 2005 Challenge

Here's a second version I mocked up using the parts from just one kit. It is doable, and the only reason I didn't do this version is I already had the second kit. It looks like a fun one to do, and could be turned into a "poorhouse". Maybe someone else would be inspired to build this version?

    galt904 - 2005 Challenge

I decided to augment the parts from the signal tower kit with, well, parts from a second signal tower kit. Shown in these 2 pictures is some preliminary mocking up using scotch tape to hold the parts together.
