And with all the sun and this smell of the flowers in the air I went out and took some pictures, this first one is from the Portuguese Intercity Train "Alfa-Intercidades". It was built by Siemens / Fiat Ferroviaria and it's designation is: "Série 4000", acording the the Portuguese Railroads...

Seen any good structures to Model anywhere

Folowing the trak to the south in the next road passing we have a similar structure but this one is abandoned since the road passing was closed. Modernisation has closed a lot of this road passings in the behalf of safety, other's were subtituted by bridges.

Seen any good structures to Model anywhere

This second one is used house where the person that controls this road passing lives, unfortunately, as far as I know it's going to be demolished very soon to make way for two other lines, one of them to be used by the new Ultra-Fast (r) trains. I'm studying the possibility of using this road...

Seen any good structures to Model anywhere

Portuguese Structures! Changing the pace little I bring you three typical structures that can be found in Portuguese railways. The first one it's a small structure in wich railway personnel control the passing of the trains (to check if the road passing is closing correctly)

The photos are great Blake, I just find them a little "cold" maybe it's from lightning, I don't know, maybe it's just me being picky :)

    Suggestions needed!

Some progress! Well not much, but I have to confess that I like to take this slowly so that it lasts longer, for me the most interesting part in model railroading is the construction. So here it goes a little progress, as sugested I will do a parking lot a small "café", but that's in the future :)

Thanks Well, thanks to everybody for the tips, I gathered some ideas here for this portals and the idea Woodie gave about colouring the plaster was great, I'll try that one also in the future. As for the layout, it's a small one to have at work, it's dimensions are 30*40 cm (12*16 inch) so...

    What colours to use?

Well, I recently started a very small layout in z, and since I have a tunnel I needed two portals, I bought one but it was so expensive that I decided to do two of them based on the original. I used kids modeling clay to do the mould wich I filled with plaster, the results were satisfatory but...

Go Digital!! Well I also own a Digital Camera, a FUJI S602 Zoom, besides the normal macro function it has also a super-macro function that can focus as close as 1 cm, it's an amazing piece of technology. I just regret the fact that I don't have the time to explore it's full potential since it...
