I was recently reading on either GM (EMD)or GE, that they were introducing locos with the center pivot idea. They claimed there new design would allow passenger and freights to run an average speed of 100 mph+ Pretty cool looking, too.

Well, if you are running two trains on two different sets of tracks, may I suggest using two power packs/transformers and having one of them on a timer, such as is used by photographers in their darkrooms? Gra-lab makes a nice one with two power outlets. I don't have a photo of one, but you will...
