Faller Gmbh structors - Black Forest

I am still researching the 1850's-1890's era Romania. It was suggested that any old German era might be adequate. I have been looking at some buildings. This one for the industry along with a sheep farm as these were the actual working industries from that era. As for the community, I was...

Sure does help. I'm extremely confident in my soldering abilities, so that will not be a problem. I agree, less joints is better.

    Track

While trying to come up with a track plain I started to ponder whether or to use flex track or sectional. My plain is a 1850-1890 Romanian logging community through mountains and forest terrain. I'm going to use that era steam engine if can acquire one.

    Odd Request

Well, umm...........I have never in my lifetime seen anyone model that region. I thought about doing it in N scale on a door. Of coarse it would be a logging community as thats what they did in that region & era. I'm also tempted to scratch build this..and place it on a hillside

    My next problem

It's possible that the contact is only making contact when the center of gravity changes (ex. going around corners). You may want to remove the "body" of the car and check all connections. Of coarse cleaning the track may help as well. Just my $.02

    Are your trains an escape?

YES!! Working self employed as a graphic artist slash Custom computer builder........stressful at times, more-so than not. It's nice to sit down to something enjoyable and stress free. Then again I also race slot cars and nitro & electric radio control, but those activities are a family affair.

    Beginners: Learn from my mistakes!

We all learn from our mistakes, thats where we gain experience. When someone shares their errors with others, really helps the "new guys" as long as they paid attention. My father always said "If your going to get into this hobby, plain for everything you can think of then take your lifetime...
