Its been quite a while since the last update, but page six has finally been released. Scott K.

    Von Braun 1956 Mars Mission

Thanks, all. I'm glad you like it. I can release the model both ways, if desired. I think it would look best printed on metallic paper, if any can still be found. As it is now, it has minimal coloring, just some "metallic" shading, with faded yellow on the side tanks. The Lander will be a...

    USS Enterprise TOS Bridge

There are models of the -D, and -E bridges that were commercial via eBay, but I'm not sure of their status now. Skip, aka "skupilkinson" designed them and is a member here; http://www.zealot.com/forum/member.php?u=33153 You could send him a private message to ask if or where they might be...

    Von Braun 1956 Mars Mission

The Passenger Ship is finally "done". Since I've had so little actual building time lately, I "cheated", and used wooden beads and fake pearls for the smallest tanks. There is one of my paper version on the model, and I think I might actually prefer it. I turned the model over in one picture so...

    New Skin!! New Look!!

Umm, OK. I wish I could say I like it, but I don't, really. With my failing eyesight, I can hardly see the text now. Not enough contrast for me. Sorry. Scott K.

    Transformable G1 Soundwave paper model

Thank you, youngku (and RB)! This looks great! The timing is very interesting, too. Just yesterday, my son saw a G1 Laserbeak at a yard sale for a dime. Unfortunately, someone else grabbed it before he could. Anyway, Thanks again! Scott K.

    Little simple boats

The original thread was mine. (http://www.zealot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142288&highlight=smallboot) I'd be very interested in your scans, if it turns out they can't be posted here. Herb Lozier wrote a number of books that I remember fondly as inspiration in my early modeling days...

 My ENLARGED Interdictor Cruiser doesn't look that good! Scott K.

    Proton Launch Failure

Some unfortunate early Fourth-of-July fireworks, and in the wrong country, too. 3 Glonass satellites worth $200 million dollars were lost when a Proton rocket crashed at launch. Looks like an engine failed, sending the rocket out of control, until aerodynamic forces tore it apart. First...

    USS Enterprise TOS Bridge

Looks great! This is my number one favorite model I ever built. I catch myself staring at mine very time I see it. Scott K.

YAMAHA V MAX 4 times bigger

Four times bigger? That would probably be the only way I could successfully build one, with ham hands. This will be interesting to watch. Scott K.

    1:1 1973 M.G. Midget model restoration

It does look daunting, yes. But, if you've got the tools, skills, materials, time and the will, no problem! This will be intersting to see, thanks for showing us. Scott K.

    Mini Hatak

I was looking through some of my old posts, and came across this one. Just thought I'd point it out to anyone who might be interested. The model needs better texturing, and some reshaping of the open areas on the "weapons scaffold", but I still like how the finished model looks. I had a...

    What about seams?

I can only agree with all of the techniques discussed above. Speaking as a designer, I try to "hide" seams as much as I can, but placing them where other parts will be glued over them. On my "Cryptosian Ship", for example, I rotated the aft body parts 180 degrees relative to the forward body...

Robot of "The Day Earth stood still"

Surfduke made a Gort model, if I remember correctly. I don't think its available online any more, but you could send him a private message. Scott K.

    Von Braun 1956 Mars Mission

A very interesting site, Hawk, I've never seen it before. Thanks! In the Mars Orbit Rendezvous still, it looks like they used the Lander from the '56 mission, and the Passenger Ships from the '52 version. Too bad it looks like the film might not be finished, I'd love to see the whole thing...

    Boeing Model 307 Stratoliner

The Post-War TWA version of the Stratoliner is next, possibly followed by an Aigle Azure version (maybe). Once John is tired of doing 307's, then the B-17's are next. He says these are a good run up to them. Scott K.
