    AFAIK the Blackstone models engine is pretty much ready to be released onto the market. http://www.blackstonemodels.com/ and there will be a sound version as well as a plain jane silent version!

    got my Consol from them (the UK guys that is) and was very impressed with their service. As for where my club is - click on the word homepage in my signature, it will bring up the club`s homepage, but we are actually based in Crawley is West Sussex (I myself live in Welwyn)

    it will make it around a 22" anything (more or less) will take a 36" curve without any hestiation.

    would using a block of square stripwood be another way of making these? (less time consuming?) Very good idea though, the ESTR is about to get a huge population of these things (well they are everywhere in 2006!)

    yes it doesn mean As Far As I Know! and yes, it would explain why a limited number of roads used them - most road would probably have rather had a "proper" passenger units such as the PA or E series rather than what was effecitvely a full sized "kitbash" of a freight unit.
