    I took a piece of corrogated cardboard and peeled one of the out side layers off to expose the ripples. I then glued it down ripple side up and painted it earth tones.

    I just snagged a vac-u-form off of e-bay. while surfing the web in research for scratchbuilding I seen a site that said these things are the cats meow for making stuff outta styrene. has anyone ever used one.

    I've got SHINGLES!!!!!

    I took the time to complete my shinglingand with the help of charlie I have "sided" it most of the way... I think it looks a bit better than it did before.. it has a bit left to be done before it is finished.... Sorry about the quality lost the cord to my digital cam... had to use the camcorder...

    it was about a half hour cutting and laying 1 side. the actual prepping and making the "tar paper" was done earlier in the day... about 10 minutes total doing that part. of course this was my first attempt and I am sure I can lower my time .... :)

    Question on making bricks

    I tried to print the backgrounds or "brick samples" if you will... with minimal sucess.... I ended up using a texurizing medium and mixing it with paint. I brushed it on trying to make lines so it can replicate brick... it is not 100% but hey... from far away it looks ok :)

    sheet styrene... for the container portion... for the elevator part... I took some of those markers they use for buried phone lines and bent it into shape... (Hope no one digs there oops!! :) ) the ladder was from an ho signal.. but when I measure it the rungs were a little less than 1 scale...

    Had time to get some more work done... going to put the water in this week i think... the barn is getting replaced by another smaller one this week too.... my creative attempt of hiding an ugly turnout and the lake before I fill it... with the new sporting goods store :)
