    With Soundtraxx annoucing their new Tsunami micro sound decoder I'm seriously thinking of the Spectrum DCC ready 4-6-0 the 52"driver version...I'm betting that decoder with speaker should fit even the small pre-1900 tender...anyone else thinking along these lines? :twisted:

    Ya know speaking of popped rivets i'm wondering if such a tool exists ,something on the order of a needle nose pliers for replacing rivets on valve gear thats already assembled and on a locomotive. normally we use a rivet tool and a small anvil and hammer which is fine for assembling valve gear...

    Thats a 1960'sAkane brass model of a DM&IR class M4 2-8-8-4 yellowstone. Believe it or not it was more powerful than the fabled UP. Bigboy. There are still 3 of them on display up on the iron range in northern Minnesota.
