G'day Jarrah, from a, fellow Aussie, albeit a couple of thousand kms away up Nth NSW. :)!! There are heaps of suppliers in Australia that can provide you with model kits to build your trains. Put them together, paint them, install the motor etc, and also the carragies. Try Steam Era...

Newguy, I built my layout on particle board (chipboard it's called here), and I used foam-type packaging wrap for my roadbed. The sorta stuff that protects fragile stuff in packages. Sort of tough spongey stuff, but very easily cut with a knife, or scissors. You get it in rolls, about 12"...

Don't worry Brakie, Us that are left handed have had to get used to it all our lives!! And still find stuff made for right handers frustrating!! :curse: :p Good to see you back on the road, and I'm sure you'll do well in your recovery. :) :wave:

Newguy, I've been eerr....ummm... "told" that you'll get a much better deal from a women's makup shop, and get one of the airbrushes they do fingernails with. Same thing, but for some reason, way way cheaper, cause they don't have the word "hobby" i.e. charge like wounded bulls tag about them...
