Star Wars T-70 - building thread - blue version with additional details

I use wodden sticks to instead of the paper parts - this will give more stability to the cannons. The parts at the front of the modell are not glued now - i will only glue when all parts are prepared.

Star Wars T-70 - building thread - blue version with additional details

Hi together, the model is available in different color versions on the internet. I have built the model before and gave it away. This time I would like to build the model in more detail. The biggest problem is that there is no cockpit. Since I have no skills to create a cockpit, I can only try...

BSG Viper Mark I (nearly 1:32) building thread

Adding details only makes sense if the standard release allows it. And - to be honest - this is not always the case. (This is my problem at the moment - I think of making a Cylon Raider, but the standard release is good, but not on the level as your Viper - not sure what do do at the moment...

Thanks to all for the cheering words. As mentioned it was fun building. And to mention again: it is a wonderful model and I waited hard for the release, but it was really worth waiting.

Cannons finalized with little detailling. Next the wings: raised parts and all panels separately added. I have to state that adding the panels leads to more stability of the parts. High wing finalized 2 more to do.

I now smoothed the edges of the panels with my sandpaper, and I have to say the panels are raised very little. I am happy with the result. Next starting and finalizing the cockpit. Thanks to all for watching and giving hints and tips. This is what makes a good community.

You are right there are some parts raised a little bit. I hope that I will be able to hide this effect a litte bit with the planned weathering. I want them to be raised a little bit although it is not in line with the original.

Next part (middle section) finalized. And then adding the extra panels to the nose section. Bringing some charcoal dust to the nose to highlight the single panels.

Another good idea - thank you. I will reprint the sheets and follow your proposal. I will do it with regular paper (180gr.). This will ensure that the parts already addet will still pop up as they were laminated to an additional layer of paper.

Parts attached. I have noticed that the additional ribs mean that the tubes do not lie horizontally. So I made an increase to correct this. Next the nose.

It is a wonderful model - not the most easy one - but surely worth doing. Good luck and enjoy the building process. thumbsup
