    Lippisch P.13a (Luft46)

Including both versions (w/ and w/o fold lines) brought the archive size beyond 3MB.... which exceeds the upload limit in the downloads section. :( I've resorted to placing it in my googledocs shared folder. You can access this one using the following link...

Sure go right ahead. I'm open to other camo schemes. I'm pretty much limited to the camo schemes I can find in my Luftwaffe resource books. I'd also want to try out adding some weathering effects. Indeed it does! Hahahah... When I did my alpha/beta build, I enclosed a screw big enough...

    Lippisch P.13a (Luft46)

Thanks for the kind words. I originally tried to make the ramjet assembly (intake to exhaust) but the target scale (1:48) made it too finicky to assemble. :) When I develop the skills to do the internals (cockpits and gunpods), I'll definitely get back to this model and do a remake, probably...

    Lippisch P.13a (Luft46)

Hi David, I just did a test download from Zealot and I can open the Zip without problems. I used 7-zip to make the archive, but I tested it on Windows' native ZIP explorer. I can email you an uncompressed (PDO) version of the file directly if you like? Eric

    Lippisch P.13a (Luft46)

Sent to the downloads section and waiting for admin approval. :) By the way, I can't seem to add thumbnail pictures to the model. The add picture button keeps complaining that the filename extension is invalid. I've tried JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG and even no extension. Has anybody been able to...

Great model! Any plans on making its little brother --- the Wespe?

    Lippisch P.13a (Luft46)

All done! Some shots: I thought the P13a would be incomplete without its own trolley... so I hastily whipped up this one. I tried to keep it as simple as possible to avoid fit problems. Some minor adjustments in the Pepakura tab sizes are in order... after that I'll put this in the...

    Lippisch P.13a (Luft46)

Camo done! I chose the insignias for JG52, with matching Defense of the Reich bands. Test build will have to wait till this weekend though.... If anybody is willing to do a test build, just PM me.

That is cool! RE: Bailing out The Reichdreams Dossier has a short description on bailouts for prone pilot configurations. The front portion of the fuselage will be blown out (just like an ejection seat). Descent will be slowed down by parachutes. Once the speed is manageable, the pilot will...

Danke, Gerald! Test camo before I call it a day.... I decided to use RLM76/81/83 for this.

    Lippisch P.13a (Luft46)

Thanks! Anyway, I finally ironed out that nasty problem I had with the main fuselage's formers. I tried something different but it turned out pretty well. Here's the entire build process: Instead of going with the traditional formers for the fuselage, I opted for this accordion like...

    Lippisch P.13a (Luft46)

Here's my take on the Lippisch P.13a. The design was based mainly on the 3-views I got from www.luft46.com. I used Metaseq, Pepakura and Inkscape. Here's how the test build looks so far (scale = 1:48 ) I'm still having trouble estimating the size for the internal...

It's WW1-WW2 for me... something about that era never fails to get my attention.

Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

I agree! If not for Jay's and the other members' tutorial, I wouldn't even have bothered trying to design my own models. But now I'm all fired up... :)

Better Modeling with Meta/Pep/P.N – Tutorial 1: Introduction

Thanks for the tips. I'll try 'em out. RE: Boolean plug-in Yeah, the boolean plug-in should have been built in. I visited the home page of the plug-in's creator -- Bomber..something.. forgot the URL. The site has ceased to be updated and even the links to the BOOLEAN page are dead.
