    Packing up the trains...temporarily

Yep...I'm already thinking about where to put the train room. Figure I can do at least 10'x8' somewhere in the basement. Of course, it may have to wait until I dig out the basement a bit - only have 6' ceilings in there right now. Still waiting for the signback - hope they accept our offer!

    Packing up the trains...temporarily

My wife and I have put in an offer on a little bungalow in the Birchcliff area...feels good to be finally moving into a house. The bad news...the trains have to be packed up, and my little shelf layout pulled apart. Good thing I didn't get too far along with it. New spending will also have...

    Sideframe-less trucks in N

Hi all, Has anybody seen any N gauge models out there, or have an idea of how I can make an operating bogie/truck that does not have sideframes? (Every N gauge truck I've come across relies on the sideframes to hold the wheel and axle in place). I'm trying to model some subway cars in N...

    A Ride on 2816 Hudson"Empress" Steam.

Awesome shots Chris! There is a Father's Day special being run from Toronto Union Station this Saturday...unfortunately I won't be on it, as I've promised my Dad that I would help him up at the cottage.

Can you tell me what this is...?

I think the propsoed people-mover at Pearson is just internal for the moment (linking the new terminal with T3 and the HUGE employee/long stay parking lot). Eventually it will connect with some form of rapid transit (TTC/GO/whoever) linking the airport to downtown Toronto. My guess was just...

Can you tell me what this is...?

Hmmm...maybe part of a people-mover for the airport? I think they're putting one in, but I'm not totally sure... I'm trying to think where it would be coming from actually - I know UTDC (now part of Bombardier) had a plant in Kingston, but I'm not sure if they still make anything there.

Upcoming opportunity to visit C P yards at Scarbourgh

I'm still interested, but a 3pm weekday start might not work for me, unless I can get the afternoon off. I'm actually off to the UK for the first two weeks of May, so hopefully that doesn't conflict with the tour. If so, oh well - just take lots of pictures for me!
