I have had very good success with Polly Scale's paint stripper. I have shied away from brake fluid due to some of the finer plastics being used today. However, brake fluid works great on ye ol' Athearn bluebox puppies.:)

I finally jus' hadda si'down an' start prioritizin' my projects, and stick to 'em no matter what. At the start of each month, I list four MR projects that must be completed before I can have 'fun.' It's workin' as I have started to 'clear out' the unfinished stuff.;)

Another manufacturer to consider for hoppers is MDC. They have a nice series of three bay hoppers, offset and outside braced. In addition to the three bays, they offer a nice 40' ballast hopper with longitudinal doors. Check 'em out sometime.;)

I have a pair of these here puppies. Athearn released 'em in 1990, and they were state of the art. Once broken in, they run beautifully. Can't beat an Athearn for price for the quality of what ya get.:)
