How many parts does it get 'down to' if you use the laser tracks?

I didn't say it in my previous posts - but great looking ship! As far as masts, has anybody tried rolling solid 'inserts' from standard copier / printer paper, gluing the roll into a rod and then using that to wrap the printed paper masts around - so you'd end up with an all paper mast? I...

Well, here's some pictures of my hacking, er build. I ran into a few fit issues, but I am guessing it's my build more than the model. The fit issues all related to the railings - so if one were using another method of railing rather than building in the paper railing, they wouldn't be issues...

Aren't there kid toys for like $5-$10 that you can pre-record a phrase or multiple phrases and play them back at the push of a button? I remember seeing such either at Toys R Us or some kids playing with them.

I've definitely added this kit to the top of my 'wish list' and will definitely be getting one to build once I've gotten my skill up to make it worthwhile! I also am looking forward to the build thread(s) for it from you guys who have ordered it. This looks like a very cool model!

Thanks for the comments, advice - and for the pictures ;). As far as I know, the only instructions that exist for this ship are diagrams, so there may be times when I need pictures to see how things should look - so I'm sure they'll be helpful as I get into the detailed bits. And if anybody...

Here's my build thread of the Charles Adams Class Destroyer Lutjens. I apologize in advance for the photo qualities - I'm hoping at some point I'll figure out how to improve on them ;) As for the model - I bought it as a 'practice' model to work on my abilities to eventually do the Bismarck...

I wouldn't say it's my favorite (the P38 Lightning and P61 Black Widow have always had soft spots in my heart) - but it's a very cool plane nonetheless. I personally will be especially looking forward to your build of this one ;)
