progress pictures I will look into the small lights thanks for the tip.

I am working on my first structure a 15 stall roundhouse and would like to know if I should use lights inside. If I use lights what kind would you suggest. I'll have some pictures of my progress tommorrow.

new revision Took the advice given and increased radius to on layout.

When I get my basement ready I am going to have my boys help me on the layout. Yes you are correct it is very addictive and you have to watch yourself or you will spend more than you planned, but all hobbies are that way and this is a great one !:thumb:

thanks for the advice I will take all the advice into consideration when I start my benchwork in January, got to get the basement done first. Brian I have a few copies of pictures of the garrett division layout from a county history book and I can take pictures of a schematic of the yard...

driving 50 miles to my sisters, no trains but the local hobby shop( 1st place hobbies) is there, the only problem is it is not open:cry:

you might try midwest products for an easy cutter I use these at school to cut balsawood and they seem to hold up to student abuse very well. www.midwestproducts.com

I build kits and kitbash, the shop teacher in me says kit bash is the best.

It is in the east chicago, gary IN area. I have never been there but I shouldask my friends that work for the csx if they go through there on trips to chicago.:thumb:
