    Newbie Building A Proton

My cutting with a blade does seem to be rapidly improving. It's funny though. The more complex the cut, the easier I seem to find it. Give me a simple long straight line though and it has the potential to have more curves in it than a Playboy model. Of course, a big ol' magnifying glass...

    Newbie Building A Proton

Ah yes. Cones. I will admit to spending a considerable amount of time, parked in a chair, feet up, cold drink at my elbow, pondering those little bits of paper. They had me worried. But in the end I was able to develop a plan of attack and they turned out fairly well I think. Thanks for...

    Newbie Building A Proton

As I looked at the build instructions of various models, I discovered they could sometimes, especially to a newbie, be a little difficult to interpret. After I chose to build this model, I looked around for any threads on it. I found some stuff and although I found the pictures helpful, they...

    Newbie Building A Proton

I just asked myself, as a newbie, what do I want to see in a build thread? Answer: How do you build the dang thing. Hopefuly I'm being clear enough so that some future builder might find this thread helpful. Future builder will probably look at thread and complain to himself...Why didn't...

    Newbie Building A Proton

It just seemed easier to use clamps than to pull rubber bands on and off over the end of the contraption and I was worried some sort of slip could damage the paper. Besides, a couple of quick turns of the screws and it locks down tight with no possibility of slippage.

    Newbie Building A Proton

I have chosen for my newbie build, Leo Cherkashyn's Proton. Its been a long time since I've built a model of any kind, paper or otherwise. I don't know how the members would rate it's diffuculty and even if it should be an easy build there is evey possibility of...

    Test Using A Paper Camera

I really don't think I can take credit for how good it looks. It was, as I recall, a very good kit with very clear instructions. I give all credit to the kit. As for taking a pic with it...hmmmm....maybe. It's been sitting on a shelf for many years after I built it and who knows what may...

    Test Using A Paper Camera

It's been too long since I built it to remember where I got it. I can tell you the company that produced it was Wrebbit, that after a quick perusal of this forum and Papermodelers.Com, that there are a small number of threads related to Wrebbit products, and finally the impression I get from...

    Test Using A Paper Camera

Since I will soon be starting my newbie build, I needed to figure out how to post pictures to the forum. I thought some pictures of a camera I built many years ago would be appropriate. [/ATTACH]test test2 test3test3test3test3

    Proton configured for Zarya?

Thanks. I have seen that model eleswhere, but havn't been able to get 100% confirmation from other sources that it is the exact configuration. Oh well, I'll just go with this one and if it turns out I should have built something slightly different, then that will be an excellent excuse to...
