I totally agree. Using tabs makes your model more inaccurate - but you can always drawn tabs which are not attached to the part itself - something like the strips of paper you have mentioned. Duplicate border of a part and create tabs on both sides and you have your "strip" of paper :) I am...

    Spendlik's attempts of creative art

BatWing will be the first one to become a paper model. Than maybe the Matsumoto robot. I thought I lost one of my 3D models - Warhammer 40k Dreadnought MKIV (it is an "older" version of my previous dread). But I found it on my external HDD, also with some render images.

Thank you guys! :) One more image from my collection. This is WIP model of Matsumoto-14 - robot from RobotJox movie. Maybe one day, you will be able to download it as a paper model (maybe). Revell-Fan: "Spendlik" in slovak language means "tailor pin". I chose this nick looong time ago - as a...

    Spendlik's attempts of creative art

Hi guys! I just found this section of forum (thanks to Zathros). I am not good at drawing or making illustrations, so I will post some of my render attempts. I am using Rhinoceros 3D version 4 with its own rendering core. 3D models of Jetbike and Dreadnought could be downloaded on my...

To be honest, it reminds of some kind of axe. Even more with the edges.

Edges of the right wing are finally glued to the model. To be honest, it is very annoying but also very satisfying work.

Hi folks :) BatWing project is still alive :) I have cutted out panels for upper wings. The panels will create structure of wings so it will stand out when airbrushing. I also glued wing parts to the skeleton. And just for testing purposes I have tried rear and cockpit skeleton parts if they...

Just a quick update - First parts of skeleton are ready to be glued together. Parts were cutted out by a laser cutter, but because of my mistake I had to make small correction to them with small rasp. But after that, all parts fit perfectly. :thumb: And one more shot to compare Rhino...

Hi guys, I have started unfolding this beauty. Before I print it out, I have to decide, what kind of "camouflage" I am going to use. I was thinking about two possibilities, camouflages: - First one looks like metalic-black painting. Not sure if I will be able to paint it with GIMP, but...

You will be able to download it like other models created by me. You can build this model also using other materials, but some parts are calculating with the thickness of paper - so you have to take into consideration this fact and adapt parts (but this is normal, when you want to make paper...

It´s been a loooong while since last update, but this model won´t be another forgotten unfinished project of mine. Working on the dashboard (colors are little bit fancy - don´t worry, it´s only because of rendering purposes). Ing. Spendlik
