soooooooooooo gang
hate to be a pain ....but may have to redesign my 2 track layout :(
My "L" shape layout....
so a good miminum radius with Atlas cars (engine + 5 = 6max)...is...???
OK...Charles.......
again..I am not sure on the radius thing.....
wonder what yours looks like??........
Don't worry..wouldn't copy it.....want my own anyways!!!! :thumb:
btw>>32" deep....and want 2 levels of track.....
I guess I could overlap with the top track and the bottom going under.
umtrr-author ......
ok....I may regret a few things down the road (as alot have)
but I am not worried about scaling this to a 'T' ...
not worried about matching cars..........with the right era..per say
once this is up and final.....I will not have anyone come over to judge it..nor does any of...
OK...heres what I want to do..........
the 3" spaces are for the ONE (upper) track...oval or circle...
which I will need a slight incline before coming around to the 2nd level
simple.......this will be my second train set anyways.
**My main track will below which will take most of my table up...
Are you saying ..to get the caboose ....to match the engine?
I may be painting the engine anyways !!!!...as in black !!
but thanx for the thought !!!!
(I wish I had a list of rollingstock...trains for that matter; in its "era")
To clarify:
the 3" spaces are for the ONE (upper) track...oval or circle...simple
which will be my second train set.
My main track below will below which will take most of my table up
strictly on ground level.
something like this.....
All I am worried about is the TURNS (radius) on both!!!!!!!
lol I know..Lynn
I knew you were thinking HO...in a few posts to me..thats ok kiddo
actually my bad  on that quick elevation I did up..
should be like this
Thanx 'railohio' .......
One small thing I forgot to mention with my opening topic......
these so called 'raisers'..........are NOT gonna be seen ....sign1
my bad !!!.......
I need these lifts just to 'raise' the track...then they'll be covered!!
lol ....I don't know where I get 1/2 of these pictures  lol
just using it to show you the 'idea' ........
ummm Lynn ...(can I call you Lynn?)
wouldn't mind doing my own ......'raisers' ...or whatever you call them ....
the 2" cutout is a good idea for the track and I probably will use...
I need some elevation on my second track and preparing it on my board.
I've seen styrofoam, wood, etc...used for it before the track goes down.
Finding the best and cheapest way !!
btw>> what are these things called...?.... sign1
Ok.....plunged!!!
Got my first N scale loco .....DCC installed at only $60 ....
now...hope I got it for a steal and that it is NOT worth that amount ...lol:wave:
Thanx Gang ...
you guys are the greatest........ :)
Its been really tough in making decisions about any of this as so many of you have different (yet similar) ideas and thoughts which didn't help me as a new n-scaler.......
its great when I get the go ahead from one of you !!!! ........lol...
Ok..this may sound silly to you PROS …lol
but can't I just buy a good lot of flex track
and lay it on the board as I go?????
(you know…like we used to do when we were kids)
I "DO" have an idea what I want….:thumb:
guys...I don't understand WHY I should get sectional track if I want the simplicities of a 'flex' track (code55)...is there something I'm missin' by buying just flex track???...and again.......
is there a difference in 'flex' track and 'SUPER' flex track?
